Elevator Pitch
I work at the intersection of data engineering, AI strategy, and organisational change, with a particular focus on turning trusted data foundations into better decisions and more responsible services. My work is grounded in implementation: pipelines, platforms, governance, lineage, ownership, and the operating models that make technology useful in real organisations. I believe AI adoption should start with purpose, constraints, data quality, and human judgment rather than tool selection or hype. The opportunity is not simply to automate more work, but to build systems where people can act earlier, verify more confidently, and carry accountability clearly. My distinctive perspective is that responsible AI and strategic data platforms are the same kind of problem: they only create value when technical capability is connected to trust, ownership, and practical intervention.

What I write about
This site is where I work through questions I do not think are well served by either hype or blanket scepticism. When is AI genuinely useful? What does responsible adoption look like once it touches real workflows? How do you design systems that are powerful enough to help, but still understandable enough to trust?
The shorter pieces tend to follow one idea at a time. The longer ones give me room to connect the technical, organisational, and governance parts of the problem. The thread running through both is practical clarity: what makes a system trustworthy, what makes a decision defensible, and what helps technical work survive contact with real delivery.
Open work
Some of the ideas here also have a working system behind them. SecondBrain Framework is the public, sanitised version of the Obsidian-native knowledge and operational system I use for source ingestion, wiki synthesis, Daily Notes, projects, writing, documents, and publication automation.
The private vault is not published. The framework repository contains the reusable structure, tools, templates, and operating contracts that sit behind the SecondBrain work.
